Disaster and Emergency Services
When it comes to business continuity planning, savvy executives know that thorough planning can prevent harm to personnel, property and the bottom line
The challenge is having the right security partner when a disaster or emergency strikes or threatens your business.
Crisis situations threaten the livelihood of millions of people and thousands of businesses every year,
causing billions of dollars in damages. Aware of the risk from natural and man-made threats, a growing
number of companies are making business continuity management a priority, according to the Disaster
Recovery Journal Business Continuity Preparedness Survey conducted by Forrester Research in 2011.
The survey found that 72 percent of businesses polled have established business continuity plans, and
while 25 percent do not have a plan, they intend to implement one within the next year. The survey also found that while IT failure tops the list of risk concerns, the other top risk factors are natural disasters, power outages, fire, telecommunications failures, epidemics/pandemics and floods.
It’s no surprise that business continuity plans are becoming more than good business practice.
They are considered a responsibility to employees, partners, shareholders and customers.
