G4S leads the security services industry in the provision of quality training materials, programs, and applications.

G4S' North America Training Institute (NATI) was named one of three world-class corporate universities in Nathan Greeno's book, Corporate Learning Strategies, published by the American Society for Training and Development.  NATI has also been recognized by the American Society for Training & Development with a BEST Award, and has been named a Top 125 Training Organization by Training magazine for four years in a row (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010).

Quality training has been a key differentiator since the company's earliest days.  G4S' security training programs are developed by the NATI trainers — all of whom have post-graduate degrees and years of experience in the military and/or security industry. 

After developing programs for G4S' clients, NATI does not bow out; rather, NATI training advisors continue to assist local training personnel and managers in developing job-specific, follow-up, and continuing education programs.  In addition to in-person classroom training, G4S employees and security officers also have access to hundreds of award-winning self-service training programs via NATI's state-of-the-art online Learning Management System (LMS).

• G4S NATI is an American Heart Association (AHA) Training Center, which trains G4S employees in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), automated external defibrillator (AED) use and First Aid skills and how to safely deal with bloodborne pathogens 
• G4S NATI is ISO 9001:2008 Certified Quality Management System Registered
• G4S NATI was selected by the Smithsonian Institution to conduct a comprehensive training needs analysis, design five programs of instruction, and to train its 600-plus member in-house security staff in fundamental security duties and supervisory responsibilities over a five-year period 
• G4S NATI was chosen by The State of North Carolina to research and develop its required training program for contract security officers
• A number of G4S NATI's programs are recommended for college credit through the American Council on Education and gain continuing education units from the University of Maryland University College
