G4S Secure Integration brings advanced broadband needs to rural Florida

G4S Secure Integration was selected by the Florida Rural Broadband Alliance (FRBA) to provide engineering, installation, and maintenance services on approximately 114 tower sites throughout Florida’s northwest and south central rural areas. This contract was part of the FRBA Middle Mile Networks Project.

G4S Secure Integration designed, engineered, project managed, constructed, and integrated a new state-of-the-art network and provided project documentation, close out, and overall network testing and commissioning services. The project began in 2011, and all sites were installed and brought into operations by the end of 2012.

The FRBA was established specifically to meet the essential and advanced broadband network needs of unserved and underserved communities. The company was formed through the regional cooperation of local governments, economic development agencies, and community activists from disadvantaged communities located in 15 Florida counties.
