G4S understands the multifaceted role played by security officers. They must be equal parts protector, ambassador, observer, and enforcer of property rules, with the capacity to effectively interact with your management, employees, visitors, and vendors alike. Our security officers understand this role and are trained to respond effectively and safely to routine and emergency situations. Depending on your operating environment, our Security Officers can serve in any or all of the following roles:

Customer service
Act as a visible deterrent to crime and increase security awareness at all levels
control access to building(s) by enforcing identification procedures i.e. photo identification badges and/or access cards
Update authorized access lists as needed and maintain visitor and contractor sign-in logs
Monitor CCTV equipment, fire panels, and respond to alarms
Patrol exterior of building (depending upon the size of the property, a combination of foot, bike and motorized patrols)
Guard against and inspect for vandalism, intruders, illegal entry, theft, loitering, and parking violations
Patrol interior portions of the building(s)
Enforce rules and regulations
Prepare written incident reports for any thefts, injuries, or unusual events
Report hazardous or unusual conditions or malfunctions observed
Attend periodic security/safety meetings and assist with emergency planning
Establish and maintain a professional relationship with local law enforcement
