G4S brings your systems together. We design, build and maintain stand-alone and integrated security systems. A trusted partner to customers and suppliers, G4S takes great pride in delivering outstanding expertise and superior service.
We have the ability to provide full turnkey services: taking a customer’s requirements, developing the concept, designing the network, selecting the product that best fits the requirements, and completing the installation.
Our engineers will move the design from the drawing board to the field, culminating in a fully operating system or network. We provide engineering services for project development, site surveys, installation, testing and training. Our engineers can identify user and system requirements, develop conceptual designs and analyze and determine proper products and system configurations to meet the most specific customer needs.
Our technicians and engineers are capable of self-performing many of the construction and installation tasks for communications and security projects. When required, we use qualified subcontractors that undergo a rigorous pre-qualification process. We have over 25 years of proven experience as an established large-scale systems integrator. Big ships don’t turn around quickly or easily. But this year, there has been a refreshing change in attitude towards access control. Includes comments from G4S Secure Integration's Ran Dagan and Kurt Takahashi of AMAG Technology.
Palo Alto to begin monitoring Caltrain tracks through cameras
The city of Palo Alto expects to begin monitoring four Caltrain rail crossings via an integrated video camera system, under the city's efforts to substitute human guards stationed at the tracks with computer monitors surveilled by G4S operators from a remote site.
Palo Alto to install cameras along Caltrain tracks
The cameras, which comprise a $1.5-million integrated video system, are being added as part of the city's effort to detect and deter people on the tracks. The council approved the camera contract with the firm G4S Secure Integration last June.
Integrating Disparate Security Technology with Standards and Partnership
With older technology and retrofitting, success in integration often comes down to the relationship between vendors, according to Brent Mahoney, Enterprise Solutions Architect for G4S Secure Integration.
The duplication of access credentials can affect access cards, key chains, tags or fobs. The cloning of credentials creates a security breach. This is a threat to the integrity of your access control system.
City banks on cameras to help deter suicides on Caltrain tracks
As Palo Alto's system for keeping pedestrians off the Caltrain tracks continues to evolve, city officials are shifting their focus from human monitors stationed at the tracks to computer monitors broadcasting camera footage at a distant site.
Can Gaming Culture and Consumer Technology Change Security Training?
Popular consumer technologies, such as robotics, drones, and virtual reality, have been slowly crossing over into the security industry. Security asked Joe Young, Director of Cloud Monitoring Services for G4S Secure Integration, about these trends and what they mean for security leaders.
Video and data analytics have been hot topics among manufacturers and on tradeshow floors for much of the past decade. Security posed some questions about analytics, integration and technology trends to Joe Young, Director of Cloud Monitoring Services for G4S Secure Integration.
RFID seems to be able to do everything, including access control, ID management and asset protection. What do a pallet of clock radios and a graphic designer coming late for work at her advertising agency all have in common? RFID technology, that’s what.
